Fargo, ND – Tyler Sand has announced his candidacy for Fargo Park Board Commissioner, with a focus on accessibility, community-driven decision making, and thoughtful planning to support Fargo’s growing park system.

Sand is a Fargo entrepreneur and owner of a software consulting business, where he works with organizations to solve complex problems through collaboration and strategic planning. He believes those same principles are essential to ensuring Fargo’s parks and recreational opportunities continue to serve the entire community.

“Fargo has built a strong parks system, and I’m grateful for the work that has gone into creating the spaces we enjoy today,” Sand said. “As our community grows, we have an opportunity to build on that foundation by ensuring our parks are accessible to everyone, shaped by community input, and responsive to the needs of every neighborhood.”

Sand’s campaign focuses on three priorities: accessibility for all residents; community-first decision making through transparency and engagement; and inclusive recreational opportunities that reflect Fargo’s diverse community.

He also emphasizes protecting green spaces, expanding trail connections, and planning proactively so residents across Fargo have convenient access to parks and recreation.

“Parks are more than places to spend time outdoors – they are essential to healthy communities and vibrant neighborhoods,” Sand said. “I want to ensure every resident has the opportunity to participate, connect, and enjoy what our park system has to offer.”
